MEDICARE FOR AUDIOLOGY TESTS

• A compliant Referral from a Medical Practitioner (such as a GP or ENT) is essential to access Medicare rebates. Please contact us if you require a referral form.
• Medicare rebates are available for audiology tests. Depending on the tests required and the conditions of the patient, the rebate ranges from approximately $20 to $100.
• Audiology tests are NOT bulk billed by us and an out of pocket payment is required.
• A current Medicare card is required and most of our clinics have HICAPS eftpos available

You are still able to see an Audiologist at Hearing Professionals without a referral, however a Medicare rebate will not be available, and you will be charged the full fee as a private client.
