Commonwealth Home Support Programme – Help at Home

If you are still living at home and you are 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander) then you may be eligible for help at home, through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
The CHSP helps senior Australians access entry-level support services to live independently and safely at home.
You can get a range of different services but one in particular which relates to hearing, is the services to keep you safe in your home – which comes under assistive technology.
Hearing Professionals have a number of these products that can help you hear better in your own home and the Home Care Package maybe suitable for you to help fund this products.
You can check your eligibility and apply online for a face-to-face assessment to find out what services you could receive based on your needs.
If your needs are more complex, a Home Care Package could be better suited to you.
